Hi, my name is Alan. I am a Script Consultant.
I began my career 12 years ago as Head of Development for a foreign studio, managing a 20 projects portfolio. Since then I have worked internationally on over 100 scripts, of which 10 have made it into production. Amongst my clients are Hollywood and European studio executives.
My method is simple and direct. Emphasis is placed on strengthening structure and solidifying character profiles. Attention is focused on plot and theme as well. My mission is to assist the writer/director in making the best out of his or her movie.
Services include the reading of the script followed by a written evaluation. This is comprised of an overall analysis plus a more specific, page to page commentary. Once the client receives my notes, we schedule a Q&A session, which can be done in person, by phone, or by email, in that order of preference. The whole process should take no more than 3-4 days, depending on availability.
